Non-Financial Risk Oversight & Reporting Specialist @ING Hubs Romania

The Mission

The NFR Hubs Romania team is an integral part of ING’s Non-Financial Risk domain. The team is responsible for ensuring consistent implementation of NFR frameworks, policies, and procedures, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment within the hubs.

The NFR Oversight & Reporting Reporting Specialist for in Hubs Romania is part of the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Oversight & Reporting team which is based in both the Netherlands and Romania. The team contributes by acting as the first point of contact for all matters related to NFR reporting including regulatory reporting and the NFR Dashboard (NFRD). They support the needs of locations and Centers of Excellence (COEs) for example through dashboarding, ensuring the NFRD and NFR KRI methodologies remain fit for purpose and compliant with regulatory requirements.  

The new colleague will report in Hubs Romania hierarchically to the Lead NFR III Oversight & Reporting and functionally to Global Lead of NFR Oversight & Reporting

Your day to day

• Play a role in enhancing NFR reporting and oversight capabilities;
• Support all aspects of NFR reporting, ensuring effective communication between various locations and Centers of Excellence (COEs);
• Support in managing global reporting templates and ensure the NFRD methodology remains aligned with regulatory standards;
• Support in standardize and centralize reporting processes to increase efficiency and consistency;
• Support in overseeing data collection and dissemination for NFR RAS KRI;
• Contribute to the event reporting process, including management of event attributes and COREP requirements;
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure effective risk management across teams, including leveraging data to measure NFR teams’ performance under the framework.
• Support the monitoring of data quality and data governance activities.

Specific Tasks

• Use your data analytical skills to provide good insights into relevant data and support the development and enhancement of NFR reports including oversight dashboards and regulatory (event) reporting;
• Interfacing between locations and COEs to ensure the NFRD methodology remains fit for purpose and compliant with regulations;
• Providing support in managing and updating global reporting templates and processes;
• Providing support in standardizing and centralizing reporting activities to reduce local workload;
• Providing support in implementation and embeddedness of reporting standards across locations;
• Providing support for training, data extraction, user acceptance testing, and working groups to enhance reporting tools.
• Supporting compliance with internal and external data management requirements, including BCBS239.

What you’ll bring to the team

• University degree, preferable with focus on data (analytics);
• Experience in a reporting function, preferably within operational risk or business control;
• Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos, Excel);
• Good project management and consensus-building skills;
• Ability to prioritize, influence others, and deliver results through collaboration;
• Good interpersonal skills, tenacity, and a change-maker mindset;
• Ability to build consensus, work with diverse teams, and seek compromise.
