Your day to day:

 You will design, develop and maintain customized IT solutions in a heterogeneous environment with a mix of classic JEE distributed middleware applications and a microservice oriented target platform.
You will reengineer and support the continuous migration of our classic components towards a modern microservice oriented platform.
You will work with technologies such as classic J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Oracle, Hibernate, Apache Kafka, REST, Maven and Git within the Java Enterprise Landscape.
You take responsibility for the entire software development process: from analysis and technical conception to the design of distributed and modern IT architectures in the Java environment to implementation, testing, documentation and the implementation of governance and regulatory requirements
You will support us in our plan to completely renew our IT landscape and operate it in a hybrid cloud infrastructure
To this end, you will analyze our complex existing system landscape, develop migration scenarios, and ensure smooth parallel operation on the way to the target architecture.
Together with the team, you will be responsible for the central database-structures and develop them further using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL technologies.
You will support us in ensuring and documenting the IT compliance of the applications for which you are responsible.
You will ensure that software quality is maintained and improved by carrying out code reviews and sharing knowledge with your colleagues.
Creating automated tests with JUnit and monitoring the results in Teamscale and Fortify
Together with the team, you constantly analyze potential for increasing customer satisfaction and improving interdisciplinary collaboration with Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts and Feature Engineers.

What you'll bring to the team: 

Customer focus in the banking environment and want to reach many customers with your software
University degree with a focus on software development, e.g. in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification,
5 years of practical experience in software development with Java
Ideally know the requirements of a regulated environment,
Strong conceptual understanding of IT architecture and secure operation
Experience in working with Java, JEE, Spring/Spring Boot, Oracle, Hibernate, Apache Kafka, Maven and Git as well as IntelliJ,
Know-how or experience in complex Java middleware distributed architectures
DevOps is not an unfamiliar concept to you and you enjoy working hand in hand with DevOps colleagues
already have knowledge of the hybrid cloud/private cloud, that would be an advantage (Docker/Kubernetes, OpenShift, Elastic Search, Ansible, Microsoft Azure)
Enjoy working closely in a team and agile software development
Like to take responsibility for driving topics forward and want to actively help shape our technical roadmap
Strong communication skills and enjoy sharing your knowledge (e.g. in the form of workshops, peer programming or mentoring)
