We are seeking to recruit a commercial, proactive self-starter at the Analyst or Associate level to join our Geneva-based TCF team / Metal Desk and work with Senior Relationship Managers (SRM) and Parent Account Managers (PAMs).

The role requires an individual who can combine analytical with strong written and verbal communication skills, can work closely with other teams in the organization and shares the ambition to strengthen our leading TCF franchise and position it for a long-term sustainability and viability.

You become part of a successful team that cooperates effectively across product lines, other departments such as Risk, Compliance and Legal as well across ING’s global network while sharing a good team spirit. You will learn the ins and outs of a very interesting and dynamic Sector, as well as all aspects related to corporate banking and relationship management.

Provide support and advice to Senior Relationship Managers and Parent Account Managers in the commercial coverage of TCF clients, including:

  • Perform financial analysis and contribute to write up of credit packages (financial analysis, peer analysis & risk analysis on commodity clients) as well as ad-hoc sector research

  • Support execution of new transactions (e.g. onboarding, preparation of proposals for regional and global commercial committees, follow through on credit approval processes, documentation, execution and implementation), as well as servicing existing clients (e.g. drawdowns, credit reviews, waivers, KYC and compliance-related reviews, data quality management)

  • Preparation of presentations for clients and prospects, as well as internal stakeholders

  • Assist on straightforward legal, CDD, KYC requirements and documentation follow up (ie conditions and covenants), ratings review

  • Meeting selected clients along with SRM, preparation of call reports and follow ups

  • With the team, maintaining data quality of credit files and ensure adherence to compliance, KYC and internal policies

  • Participate in portfolio management presentations, i.e prepare RWAs reportings, industry notes in coordination with SRMs and Group Lead.

  • Supporting SRMs in leading Deal Teams (DT) / Virtual Client Teams (VCT) comprised of various front office teams (sector experts, local RMs, lending, financial markets, transaction services, debt capital markets, capital structuring & advisory etc.), as well as support functions (credit risk, legal, compliance, operations)

  • Supporting role in global business origination and ongoing development incl. Cross-buy e.g. Syndicated Loans, FM, DCM, CF

Qualifications / Education:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or related disciplines

  • Ideally an internship in the banking sector or finance function or commodity industry

  • Your academic record demonstrates a high degree of verbal and analytical competence

  • A good understanding of financial concepts

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English

Experience / Knowledge:

  • You have 1-3 years of commercial work experience

  • You have a keen interest and good know-how of banking solutions for TCF clients

  • You have a good understanding of credit analysis, ING systems and procedures

  • You have a passion for relationship management

  • You are proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
