Supporting the Head of Financial Crime Compliance in setting and implementing the vision, strategy, direction and leadership for the (local) FCC team.

Partner with the Head of Financial Crime Compliance to develop and enhance ING Australia's transaction monitoring framework, ensuring risk appetite is effectively translated into robust monitoring practices that support strong financial crime risk management while also managing the FCC AML Operations team.

You'll bring strong analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions that balance business needs with regulatory compliance.

What you’ll do

  • Working closely with 1LoD and Global you are responsible for the design and implementation of the global transaction monitoring program in Australia.

  • Responsible for ensuring the transaction monitoring framework incorporates all local regulatory requirements and group minimum standards

  • Support the enhancements and continuous improvements

  • Establish and manage a financial crime intelligence unit. 

  • Responsible for managing the Line 2 Financial Crime Compliance AML Operations team

  • Drive awareness of financial crime typologies and emerging trends by providing training to the FCC AML Operations team and Line 1.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the FCC area

  • Recognised as a thought leader in the FCC domain with demonstrated management experience of leading leaders

  • Experience in all banking segments (retail, wholesale, online, private banking)

  • Interest in continuously developing compliance knowledge and expertise

  • Confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels while navigating both strategic and highly technical discussions.
