The Mission

Tribe Data Management is building an integrated data management platform for Netherlands and global organization. You will be working on vital and massive datasets, designing and building automated, reliable data driven solutions to fulfill the KYC business domain needs in the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a proficient Software Engineer with preferably 10+ years of predominant data management and KYC domain experience to strengthen the team and bring it to the next level. We're looking for data driven professionals to take an end-to-end role where you will be responsible for requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support of reporting solutions. If you're curious about the world of finance, KYC domain and interested in working closely with data, and want to take part in a major transformation of one of the key systems in the bank, we'd love to work with you.

Your day to day

As a proficient data engineer in a digital product team, you are expected to do:

· Develop ETL flows in IBM Infosphere Datastage based on functional requirements coming from the business teams

· Analyze data, design and build physical models at the various stages of the data pipeline: ingestion of data sources, mapping in data warehouse and creating data marts for consumption (Data quality rules implementation, data governance knowledge DAMA-DMBOK)

· Lead the delivery of coding while meeting quality criteria and project constraints. Explore and try different methods to improve productivity of the team. Meet service levels for systems (availability, security, and performance)

· Identify and reduce technical debt and be able to work alone or with others as needs dictate and take ownership of all the assigned tasks

· Manage data using Oracle Exadata as main database, following performance standards

· Handle end-to-end deployment by using GIT and Microsoft Azure Devops to build the packages and migrate the code to the appropriate environments

· Can liaise with a broad range of people, including line management, senior management, product Leads and related people.

· Keep the operational controls, which are part of the risk appetite of the bank.

· Participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies

· Collaborate actively within the team and also among departments(Data management, KYC) with other DevOps engineers, Business Analysts

Tech stack/ knowledge:

Mandatory:

· Proficiency with ETL processes and tools(DataStage experience is must)

· Experience with Data Warehouse concepts and data modellling.

· Experience in KYC Domain.

· Proficiency and experience in programming languages such as Python, shell scripting

· Expertise in SQL / RDBMS databases, handling of structured and unstructured data

· Extensive experience in design and implementation of data handling processes (ingestion, transformation, modelling, and storage)

· Experience in cloud platforms and technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) and DBT

· Flexible and willing to learn various ETL / data integration tools and products

· Experienced with software version control technologies such as Git

· Experience in Automic (UC4) is a plus

· Experience in CI / CD and Devops is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

· Strong problem solving and solutions engineering mindset

· Experience in working and coordinating remotely with international teams and stakeholders

· Experience in Agile way of working is a plus

· Preferably a degree in the related fields of Computer Science

· Professional proficiency in English (speech and writing)

Nice to have

· Esperanto data modelling (IWH knowledge)

· Risk process automation

· Automated test-driven development.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
