Job Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at ING, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions across various business domains. You will work within Agile squads, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. The role is part of Wholesale Banking – Lending and will be reporting the Chapter Lead Engineer of Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing regression test scripts for UI and API.
• Execute automated regression test suites to ensure application stability.
• Design and develop new UI and API test automation scripts using industry-standard tools and
• frameworks.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, business analysts) in
• an Agile environment to ensure quality across the SDLC.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within QA practices.
• Challenge the status quo and contribute innovative ideas to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance and support.Lead test planning, strategy, and execution for complex projects.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely reporting of test results and defects.
• Drive adoption of best practices in test automation, CI/CD integration, and quality assurance.

Key Capabilities/Experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation.
• Proficiency in Java or similar programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript).
• Experience with Loan IQ application or other relevant lending applications (preferred).
• Strong background in desktop application test automation.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Postman, RestAssured, or
• similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes using tools like
• Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
• Solid understanding of API testing, UI testing, and performance testing.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., Azure Test Plan,
• JIRA, TestRail).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and technologies.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
