Within our business management function(which reports directly to the Head of Retail), we have a small, specialist team working across tribes andtheenterprise to develop ourstrategy,alignpriorities and enable execution of our strategic agenda.Ultimately thisis acriticalrole in supporting thedeliveringofcommercial and customer outcomes as we growour business.Thescope includes both thestandard“chief of staff” responsibilities for the Head of Retail, along with a much wider set of opportunities todrive growth across the businessIt alsoprovidesthe opportunity to work with our Global ING stakeholders.

Whatyou’lldo

  • Partner: Partner with Head of Retail Value Creation and Centre of Excellence, and Business Leaders to define and deliver roadmap for ING Australia’s Retail division, ensuring alignment with broader business goals, locally and globally. 

  • Execute: Provide CoE Support to key initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring seamless delivery and measurable outcomes. 

  • Enable Performance: take accountability for inputs and outputs of business performance management, including the development of dashboards, KPIs, and insights to support data-driven decision-making. 

Whatwe’relooking for

  • Business / Commercial management, value chain planning or transformation, ideally within a large, matrixed global organisation. 

  • Product/Channel cost benefit coordination point between tribes/business/support; Finance and Balance sheet / rolling forecast, income/expenses, Business case support. 

  • Expertise in areas such asconsulting,retail banking, financial services, with a strong grasp of customer experience, digital innovation, and regulatory environmentsis preferred 

  • Scaling and growth – experience in Operating models, funding/liquidity - retail/wholesale interface interpretation.Market / Vendor/ Competitoranalysis, propositions, value creation;strategy into commercial outcomes 

  • Proven ability toinfluencestakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and lead cross-functionaldiscussion/actions. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. 

  • A collaborative, growth mindset
