Within the OnePAM we are looking for a motivated intern who is eager to learn and contribute to how ING manages customer-related data and services.

About OnePAM

OnePam is part of the Global Customer Data Management Tribe. We build and maintain applications that manage core customer data and enable secure and reliable access to ING services.

Our systems play a key role in ensuring data is reliable, secure, and accessible across the organization.

You will work in an international and highly technical environment, contributing to solutions that operate at scale and support core banking capabilities.

What You’ll Work On

Depending on your interests and strengths and our priorities, you will contribute to one or more of the following areas:

  • Supporting development and improvement of backend services (primarily in Java)

  • Contributing to testing strategies and improving software quality practices

  • Exploring modern engineering approaches such as agentic coding and automation

  • Supporting initiatives related to ongoing programs

This is a learning-focused role where you will be mentored and gradually take on more responsibility.

Who You Are

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Have basic knowledge of Java, object-oriented, and functional programming

  • Have been exposed to software architecture or system design concepts

  • Are curious about modern engineering practices (e.g., automation, AI-assisted development)

  • Are eager to learn, proactive, and comfortable asking questions

  • Communicate well in English and enjoy working in an international team

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Familiarity with backend development concepts (APIs, microservices)

  • Interest in testing strategies or software quality

  • Exposure to CI/CD practices
