We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Data Engineer to join our DataLake Team of Data Management

The Data Management Tribe is focused on being Data Best-in-class, by ensuring the right data is in the right place at the right time for the right people to ignite the Data Spark.

In order to achieve that mission, we are currently looking for a Data Engineer that would be part of an international project, collaborative between different countries, developing in a Cloud & DevOps environment.

You would be focused on maintaining and evolving our informational platforms, which aims to be used for Data Management, as well as Regulatory & Analytical Reporting at ING.

We work in an Agile & DevOps environment, where Scrum & Kanban are part of our One Agile Way of Working. You would be part of a Scrum Team, working on two-weeks sprints and using Azure as a key-tool for our Software Development Life Cycle and keeping our IT Risk under control.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer, your main goals would be:

Ensure best practices within technical design, development of ETL processes and modelling informational solutions.
Monitor end-to-end processes, ensuring their operation, detection of technical issues and search for solutions based on Data.
Care of platforms sustainability, within Minimum Standards from IT and Risk perspective.
Guarantee that ETL delivered and promoted through Azure pipelines and modelling informational solutions are aligned with our best practices.
Analysis of business needs for implementation and propose IT solutions
Collaborate with different areas contributing to Spain ING Data Strategy

The Data Engineer we are currently looking for is someone who:

Experience within Data Lake and Big Data environments
Has technical knowledge in Databases (SQL and NO SQL), ETL Processes & BI Reporting.
Has good analytical skills, with proven domain experience in data warehousing, data lakes, and data virtualization within Bank and Finance Industry.
Has working experience in Agile environments.
Has clear communications skills as well as a high English level (written and oral).
Is able to work without instructions and to take initiative.
Makes things happen thanks to his/her ‘can do’ attitude.
Has a problem solving mindset.
Is a team player (daily connection with other departments is expected)
Has the ability to work on an international level.
Takes the initiative for improving processes, ensuring creative ideas are implemented.
Is a leader of our Orange Code culture, displaying a positive attitude, commitment towards our goals, accountable, eager to learn and is not afraid of change.

Considering the software you may use as a Data Software Engineer, specific experience would be desirable for the following:

Oracle (19c)
Data virtualization or denodo tool
IBM DataStage & IBM IGC
IBM Cognos, Power BI and/or MicroStrategy or similar BI tools
Azure Devops or other devops cloud service
Has knowledge & experience in cloud environments.
Security, monitoring and logging skills (e.g. ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
Ability to create automation tools (e.g. Python/Go)
Has knowledge of Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS)

Estamos buscando una persona Data Engineer talentosa y entusiasta para unirse a nuestro DataLake Team de Data Management.

Como Data Engineer, tus principales objetivos serían:

Asegurar las best practices dentro del diseño técnico, desarrollo de procesos ETL y modelado de soluciones informacionales.
Monitorizar procesos end-to-end, asegurando su funcionamiento, la detección de incidencias técnicas y la búsqueda de soluciones basadas en Data.
Cuidar la sostenibilidad de las plataformas, dentro de los Minimum Standards desde la perspectiva de IT y Risk.
Garantizar que los ETL desplegados y promovidos a través de pipelines de Azure y el modelado de soluciones informacionales están alineados con nuestras best practices.
Análisis de necesidades de negocio para su implementación y propuesta de soluciones IT
Colaborar con diferentes áreas contribuyendo a la estrategia de Data de ING España.

Cuenta con experiencia en entornos de Data Lake y Big Data
Tiene conocimientos técnicos en bases de datos (SQL y NoSQL), procesos ETL & BI Reporting.
Cuenta con buenas capacidades analíticas, con experiencia demostrable en data warehousing, data lakes y data virtualization dentro del sector banca y financiero.
Tiene experiencia trabajando en entornos Agile.
Tiene buenas habilidades de comunicación, así como un alto nivel de inglés (escrito y oral).
Es capaz de trabajar sin instrucciones y de tomar iniciativa.
Hace que las cosas sucedan gracias a su actitud ‘can do’.
Tiene mentalidad orientada a la resolución de problemas.
Es una persona team player (se espera conexión diaria con otros departamentos)
Tiene capacidad de trabajar a nivel internacional.
Toma la iniciativa para mejorar procesos, asegurando que las ideas creativas se implementan.

En cuanto al software que puedes utilizar como Data Software Engineer, se valorará experiencia específica en lo siguiente:
Oracle (19c)
