The NFR Expert ensures that emerging solutions are designed and delivered in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and evolving AI governance frameworks.

The ideal candidate will possess sound banking experience either in risk management, consultancy or technology area.

Your-day-to-day

As a, NFR Expert

  • Act as the AI 1st line COE by proving 1st line NFR support to global ING Analytics team HQ supporting and guiding AI and Gen AI Change Initiatives of locations/domains across ING by;

    • Providing expert opinion on NFR topics at ING Analytics Platform level

    • Supporting location 1st line stakeholders identifying, assessing, updating applicable controls and mitigations actions from NFR and Compliance perspective,

    • Providing expert advice and guidance on risk-related matters to PO/PMs and senior management and other stakeholders demonstrating risk expertise capabilities with technical developments in AI, enabling them to effectively manage emerging risks and thereby creating predictable risk journey.

    • Providing support in securing approval by collaborating closely with the PO, PM, and other cross-functional stakeholders, e,g, DPE office IRM, Compliance, etc...

  • Perform risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) of risk Journey life cycle of (Non) Gen AI Change Initiatives owned and offered as a global service by ING Analytics HQ. This includes various Risk Assessments associated with change initiatives such as Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA), Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment (FRIAs), and scenario analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements applicable for banking & Financial Sector, and strict compliance of relevant AI governance frameworks (e.g. Data Privacy, EU AI Act, GPDP regulations and fair understanding of IT security standards).

  • Lead and/or act as the AI 1st line COE representative of Global INGA NFR team for projects and programs initiated by ING Analytics to comply with internal and external regulatory requirements. E.g. EU AI Act Program, Whitelisting of Large Language Models, MS365 Copilot Governance monitoring, Gen AI RAS implementation etc..    

  • Act as the NFR expert for services offered and assets owned by INGA HQ and ensure NFR compliance.

  • Proactively engage with senior stakeholders to communicate complex risk and AI-related topics in a clear, actionable manner, ensure timely delivery and follow up on agreed actions with respective actions owners.

  • Stay current with AI governance frameworks, regulatory developments, and industry best practices and continue to up skill and share knowledge within both super circle and ING Analytics.   

What you bring to the team

  • 7-10 years of experience in operational risk management and/or 1st line control execution function.

  • IT risk background and Generative AI expertise would be an added advantage to leverage IT knowledge to understand and evaluate the technical aspects of IT controls within the bank and AI platforms used within INGA.

  • 5+ years' experience in risk management in banking sector, technology (cybersecurity, artificial intelligence)

  • Control oriented and analytical thinking/ judgement aimed on assessing specific risks

  • A real team player with excellent written and oral communication skills while interacting with many departments within the organization

  • English is mandatory

Wage (gross)

  • 3 443 EUR/month

  • *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
