Hypotheekadviseur/Business Manager Nieuwbouw

Apply now

The Relationship Manager New build works as an adviser Living Segments and together with a regional team of approximately 15 to 20 advisers. You report to the Lead New build of Adviesteam Wonen. In consultation with him/her, you ensure that New build Specialists are involved in the projects you have won, encourage them to achieve maximum performance and organize commercial activities with them. You link the results back to the Lead New build.

Roles and responsibilities

You spend about half of your working time acquiring new construction projects and coordinating the commercial activities that the New build Specialists undertake on these projects. The other half gives your home advice to (potential) customers. Your task here is to visit (building) project developers and new build estate agents to pitch ING’s new build proposition and realise (regional) cooperation. You don’t do this just by stepping inside. These are real entrepreneurs; successful collaboration therefore requires a (regional) strategic acquisition plan based on a clear analysis of market trends and competition to identify opportunities and threats and position our proposition in them. You maintain and expand a network of project developers and new build estate agents. Your strategic cooperation with these parties leads to growth in production for new build financing.

What do we expect from the Relationship Manager New build?

You have a thorough knowledge of and a good network in the regional housing market. You are the discussion partner for project developers and estate agents and know their current new construction projects and ambitions for the future. You will understand their needs and those of the (potential) home buyers and create commercial opportunities to create value with ING’s products and services. You are equally active in building and maintaining a network of relevant internal business partners (such as Business Banking, Private Banking and Real Estate Finance). You know how to identify, approach, initiate, maintain and expand successful relationships.

How to succeed
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.

The success is measurable in the number of active project developers and estate agents in your network, the number of new construction projects in which ING is a commercial partner, the leads generated by these projects and the production in number of mortgages.

What skills are involved?

Of course, you have excellent communication skills. These are essential to communicate effectively with your network. Equally important are your relationship skills. By this we mean the assets to build, maintain and strengthen relationships through empathy, respect and showing genuine interest in others. For example, you are a member of real estate associations and do not run away from "cold approaching" project developers. You also build a network online, for example via LinkedIn. You have the assets to think strategically and identify goals that can be reached through and for your network. You know how to negotiate effectively and establish collaborations that are beneficial for all parties involved. In addition, you are proactive and initiative-rich and you are always actively looking for new contacts, opportunities and ways to add value to your network. At the same time, you know how to stimulate and activate the partners in your network to choose ING sustainably if they don't tick every box.
