Do you want to build deep expertise in corporate lending while working closely with global deal teams across Wholesale Banking?

As an Analyst, you’ll support the ongoing management of credit and lending portfolios, ensuring accurate monitoring and high‑quality processes across ING’s global network.

The team
You’ll join ING’s Global Lending Support team within Wholesale Banking - a strategically important, high‑profile function that supports lending teams across multiple sectors including corporate, real estate and financial institutions.

The team works at the heart of the lending lifecycle, partnering closely with front‑office lending specialists to ensure high‑quality credit processes, accurate regulatory reporting, and proactive risk management. The culture is collaborative, analytical and internationally minded, with regular interaction across countries, businesses and functions.

Roles and responsibilities
In this role, you’ll support the smooth execution and ongoing management of corporate lending transactions by combining credit analysis, operational expertise and strong stakeholder coordination. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing financial statements of corporate borrowers and maintaining accurate data in credit and monitoring systems

  • Reviewing loan and legal documentation to understand and track financial covenants and transaction conditions

  • Preparing and delivering timely reporting for global lending teams on credit ratings, covenants and financial performance

  • Conducting sector and borrower research to support risk assessments and appropriate credit ratings

  • Proactively identifying issues and working with lending teams to resolve them before risks materialise

  • Developing strong credit, analytical and technical skills through hands‑on exposure to a diverse lending portfolio

 To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Bring 2–4 years of relevant experience in a financial services, credit, lending or related operational environment

  • Apply a solid understanding of financial statements and credit fundamentals to support accurate credit decisions, monitoring and portfolio maintenance

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of lending products, credit processes and loan documentation

  • Show strong attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring data quality, timely reporting and reliable credit processes

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with global stakeholders across different business lines and locations

  • Show curiosity, ownership, and a proactive approach to learning and improvement
