As an Intern of the NSC team you will work in a challenging and dynamic environment. You will be part of a professional, experienced and enthusiastic team with an open and international atmosphere. Working in the team will give you an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with many aspects of network banking business. 

The team 
ING is a global bank with a strong European base, serving around 38.9 million customers in over 40 countries.
The NSC team, part of ING Wholesale Banking, is based in Amsterdam and acts as the first point of contact for Dutch companies with global headquarters relationships. The team develops strategic relationships, coordinates across products, and supports business origination.

Roles and responsibilities
As an Intern, most of the time you will work in a Relationship Management team to broaden your knowledge and experience in banking products and processes. Your activities are wide and varied, your responsibilities include:

  • You support for new client onboardings, obtaining relevant gatekeeper approvals and ensuring proper client data captured in relevant internal client systems
  • You support the Relationship Managers in their daily commercial activities
  • You assess the relationship from a commercial perspective: performing commercial assessment; collecting and analysing information about customers and markets in which customers are active
  • You maintain contact with both internal and external stakeholders and correctly implement the agreements made
  • You manage, monitor and promote the quality of the commercial and operational services
  • You take care of the administrative handling of processes, and you are intensively involved in updating ING systems
  • You are flexible to support the KYC process in close collaboration with Relationship Managers and the KYC team

  • Desire to develop good understanding of the financial industry
  • Comfortable working proactively in an international environment
  • Available from mid-August 2026 for 6 months
